Who we are

Irsaa Educational Platform (the "platform") is an online learning service provided by [owner company name], registered in the Sultanate of Oman under commercial registration [CR number], of [postal address]. You can reach us at [support email].

What the platform offers

The platform helps pupils from grade 1 to grade 12 learn from their school books, with practice, spelling, short tests and an AI helper, and gives parents progress reports and teachers their own tools. It starts with English; other subjects are added as they are ready.

Accounts

  • A parent or guardian creates the family account, adds their children, and is responsible for how the children use the platform.
  • No child's account is created until their guardian has agreed to the processing of the child's data.
  • The parent keeps the children's sign-in details and printed login cards safe, and can cancel any card or issue a new code at any time.
  • Each child can be signed in on one computer and one phone or tablet at a time. Signing in on a new device signs out the previous device of the same kind.
  • A teacher's account is personal and may not be shared. Answer keys open to teachers once their status is verified.

Passes and payment

  • Passes are per child, for a semester or a whole school year. A semester is 7 Omani rials for the first child and 6 rials for each child after; a year is 13 rials for the first child and 12 rials for each child after.
  • The AI+ add-on is 2 rials per child for a semester and 4 rials for a year.
  • The teacher pass is 7 rials for a semester or 13 rials for a year, and the teacher AI+ add-on is 3 rials for a semester or 6 rials for a year.
  • A pass runs to the end of the semester or school year in the calendar published on the platform.
  • Payment is made through Thawani. The price shown at checkout is the price that applies.
  • Nothing is charged automatically at renewal: we email a renewal invoice before the term starts, and a renewal is paid only when you choose it.
  • [Refund policy: to be decided.]

Acceptable use

  • The platform is for personal and family learning, and for teaching in the case of teachers.
  • You may not copy, republish or sell the platform's content, try to reach other people's accounts, or disrupt the service.
  • The AI helper is for learning only and its answers can contain mistakes. Children's names are never sent to it.

Content

The learning content is based on the school books used in the Sultanate of Oman, and their rights belong to their owners. [Wording of the permission from the Ministry of Education and the publishers: to be added once obtained.]

Closing an account

A parent or teacher can close their account at any time. The platform may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell its holder.

Limits of liability

The platform works to keep the service available and accurate, but cannot promise it will be free of interruptions or errors. [Limits of liability as advised by counsel.]

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will tell parents and teachers about any significant change before it takes effect, and ask for agreement again where needed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
